Degree Programs

Master of Public Health

Our 15 month MPH program equips students to tackle diverse public health challenges through interdisciplinary education and hands-on experience. With concentrations in areas like Epidemiology & Global Health and Health Policy, graduates are prepared to lead impactful, equity-driven health initiatives.

MS in Biomedical Sciences

The MS in Biomedical Sciences (BMS) program at the University of Chicago provides comprehensive training in biomedicine, offering six specialized concentrations and hands-on project experience to prepare students for diverse careers in healthcare, research, and beyond. This program can be completed in one year with full-time enrollment.

MS in Precision Health

The Master of Science in Precision Health (MsPH) program at the University of Chicago combines precision medicine and population health, offering concentrations in Clinical Research, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship in Medicine to prepare students for impactful careers in healthcare innovation and disease prevention. This program can be completed in one year with full-time enrollment.

MS in Biomedical Informatics

This fully remote, one-year degree equips professionals and recent graduates with the technical, leadership and ethical foundations to harness biomedical data in real-world healthcare environments—advancing clinical care, reducing disparities and shaping medicine’s future. Offering a flexible curriculum with core courses, electives and an applied capstone, students may specialize in areas such as Bioinformatics or Clinical Informatics to tailor their expertise to specific domains.

MS in Threat and Response Management

This program equips professionals with the leadership, analytic, and practical skills needed to anticipate, plan for, and respond to complex threats across domains including cyber risk, climate and environmental security, and national security. Through case-based learning, simulations, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students emerge ready to step into roles in government, industry, or humanitarian settings where decisive action and cross-sector fluency make a difference.

MS in Public Health Sciences for Clinical Professionals (MSCP)

The Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Chicago offers an MS program in biostatistics, epidemiology, and health services research, tailored for doctoral-level clinicians seeking to enhance their research skills. Designed for flexibility, the program can be completed in one year full-time or over multiple years, with electives allowing specialization in key areas.

MBA/MS in Biomedical Sciences

The two-year program is an opportunity for students looking to combine business expertise with foundational knowledge in biomedicine to become leaders and innovators in the healthcare industry, preparing them for careers in fields such as biotechnology, policy, government, and pharmaceuticals.
